Salt Plains

Crisp mineral brightness and cool, layered neutrals define Salt Plains by Red River Brick, which coats a foundation of toasted taupe and roasted umber clay with heavy calcified white slurry and pale limestone washes. Subtle glimpses of roasted auburn peeking through the frosted faces combine with delicate surface pits, gentle sand texturing, and slightly relaxed arrises to deliver the authentic spirit of centuries-old whitewashed masonry without compromising uniform alignment across expansive walls. It provides an impressive facade for modern farmhouse plans, coastal transitional designs, and updated French country manors, setting up striking architectural contrast against deep charcoal or slate garage doors, dark window frames, and weathered roof shingles.

Engineered in King size for high-efficiency exterior facade construction, Salt Plains is also sawn into coordinating thin brick veneer to bring that same antique, sun-bleached masonry warmth indoors onto kitchen hoods, interior chimneys, and grand accent walls. The final exterior character pivots on the joint approach: laying the brick in an Ivory or bright White mortar merges smoothly with the chalky face wash, establishing a continuous, luminous plane where custom details like curved entry porticos and soldier-course headers blend into an airy field. On the other hand, striking the joints with a classic Gray or warm Buff mortar introduces clear, rhythmic boundary lines that cleanly frame each individual block, accentuating the natural texture and darker clay undertones for enduring, structured curb appeal.
