Saddle
Rich cordovan, roasted chestnut, and warm walnut-brown clay tones define the uniform, kiln-fired body of Saddle from the Terra Haute Collection, subtly grounded by deep umber and cocoa undertones across the stretchers. The face carries a fine, sand-dusted wirecut drag texture with faint vertical and horizontal fissures, complemented by true, square-cut arrises that cast sharp, tailored shadow lines and preserve disciplined coursing geometry across extensive elevations. An understated selection for contemporary commercial facades, multi-story educational wings, and clean transitional residential architecture, it pairs effortlessly with smooth limestone bands, bronze architectural framing, light ashlar masonry pedestals, and dark charcoal metal coping.
Engineered in both Modular and Utility formats to accommodate precise architectural detailing as well as broad structural expanses, Saddle demonstrates versatile aesthetic character through mortar pairing. Finishing the masonry joints with a standard Gray or warm Buff mortar recedes the bed lines, quietly drawing the deep cordovan and roasted clay units into an enduring, monolithic masonry field with tailored finish consistency; conversely, striking the courses with an Ivory or bright White mortar establishes a crisp, graphic grid that cleanly frames each unit, bringing decorative soldier bands, rowlock sills, and window returns into sharp architectural relief.
