Red Rollback

A saturated, traditional brick-red clay anchors the robust face of Red Rollback from the Columbia Collection. The unit is distinguished by an artisanal rollback texture, where layers of clay fold and lap across the surface to produce prominent horizontal clefts, deep crevices, and softened, irregular arrises that capture dramatic raking shadow. A natural fit for classic collegiate buildings, regional civic municipal halls, and character-rich commercial facades, it coordinates handsomely with natural limestone water tables, dark bronze window frames, clear-anodized glass, and dark slate rooflines.

Supplied in Modular, Utility, and Norman formats to give designers complete geometric freedom across project scales, Red Rollback adapts dynamically through joint detailing. Setting the courses with an Ivory or bright White mortar produces a sharp, graphic grid that frames each rolled face, accentuating the undulating surface folds and pulling structural piers and soldier bands into bold architectural prominence; conversely, laying the brick in a standard Gray or warm Buff mortar settles the bed lines, quietly drawing the heavily textured red faces into an enduring, monolithic masonry field with tailored finish consistency.
