Old Lexington

Deep crimson and classic brick-red clays anchor the heritage profile of Old Lexington from the Columbia Collection, handsomely interspersed with charcoal reduction headers and dark umber flashes across the face. A tactile, sand-dusted wirecut drag texture lends fine vertical fissures and organic depth to each stretcher, while true, square-cut arrises ensure disciplined coursing alignment and crisp shadow lines across the wall plane. Well-suited for timeless collegiate quadrangles, traditional civic municipal buildings, and upscale commercial facades, it coordinates naturally with Indiana limestone detailing, dark bronze storefront window framing, and dark slate rooflines.

Supplied in Modular, Utility, and Norman sizing to accommodate wide-ranging facade proportions and scale requirements, Old Lexington provides remarkable versatility through joint selection. Setting the units with a standard Gray or warm Buff mortar recedes the bed joints into the wall, quietly knitting the flashed red and charcoal faces into an enduring, monolithic masonry field with tailored finish consistency; conversely, striking the joints with an Ivory or bright White mortar establishes a crisp, graphic grid that distinctly outlines each brick, pulling structural pilasters, soldier course bands, and decorative window arches into sharp architectural relief.
