Fort Mill

Earthy cocoa, roasted umber, and weathered taupe tones ground Fort Mill from the North Carolina Collection, handsomely layered with pale oyster slurry washes and deep charcoal-flashed headers across each unit. The brick features an artisanal, tumbled texture defined by gently rounded arrises, shallow face pitting, and irregular micro-crevices that catch shifting outdoor light while holding true, clean horizontal coursing lines. Proven across traditional two-story colonial homes, European-inspired manor elevations, privacy boundary walls, and multi-family brownstones, it pairs naturally with fieldstone accents, dark bronze standing seam porch roofs, board-and-batten siding in sage or cream, and dark espresso shutters.

Offered in both Queen and Engineer sizing to satisfy specific structural heights, piece-count efficiencies, and aesthetic proportions, Fort Mill transforms dramatically depending on the chosen joint treatment. Striking the courses with an Ivory or bright White mortar produces an open, luminous matrix that frames each individual stretcher and pulls decorative features—such as open-lattice privacy screen brickwork, curved porch archways, and window soldiers—into clear visual prominence; alternatively, specifying a standard Gray or warm Buff mortar recedes softly against the clay, allowing the multi-tonal brown, charcoal, and slurry-kissed units to blend into an understated, cohesive facade with rich natural character.
