Cottonwood

An understated fusion of warm cream and soft beige tones establishes the luminous face of Cottonwood from the Columbia Collection, layered with subtle taupe shading and weathered stone-gray reduction across the stretchers. Its surface carries a fine, sand-dusted aggregate texture detailed with softly eased arrises and delicate face clefts that create rich dimensional shadow relief while maintaining clean, level coursing lines across large expanses. Particularly striking for monumental civic structures, modern houses of worship, and progressive institutional wings, it pairs naturally with warm cast-stone trim, bronze gothic window frames, dark metal roof cresting, and architectural limestone water tables.

Supplied in Modular, Utility, and Norman formats, as well as classic Queen sizing to give designers comprehensive freedom across scale and application, Cottonwood responds dynamically to joint treatment. Striking the courses with an Ivory or bright White mortar accentuates the sun-washed surface tones, creating an expansive, monolithic masonry plane with tailored finish consistency; alternatively, laying the units against a standard Gray or warm Buff mortar settles the perimeter lines into crisp definition, drawing projecting buttresses, round rose medallions, and arched window reveals into prominent architectural relief.
