Ballantyne
Earthy terracotta, warm russet, and sun-baked orange-red clays form the heart of Ballantyne from the North Carolina Collection, punctuated by prominent dark charcoal and graphite-black flashed headers that introduce rhythmic tonal movement across the wall. The brick features a rugged, sand-faced velour texture marked by dense stippling and micro-abrasions, complemented by lightly softened edges that soften individual unit perimeters while maintaining true, level coursing lines across the facade. Well suited to transitional craftsman designs, Southern colonial manors, and multi-family residential communities, it complements cast stone lintels, rich board-and-batten siding in taupe or olive, and dark burnished bronze metal accents.
Available in Queen, Engineer, and Modular sizes to offer flexible coursing heights and scale configurations suited to any structural elevation, Ballantyne shifts in character depending on the joint color selected. Setting the units with an Ivory or bright White mortar emphasizes the geometric gridwork, drawing immediate attention to the dark reduction faces and crisp soldier course detailing around windows and gables; in contrast, choosing a standard Gray or warm Buff mortar knits the bed lines into the clay body, creating an understated, harmonious wall plane where the flashed tones blend into a continuous, cohesive backdrop.
