Ashtex
A sun-bleached, antiqued palette defined by pale taupe, soft driftwood, and cool stone-gray hues characterizes Ashtex of the Richtex Collection, bathed in a heavy, calcified chalk-white slurry wash that gracefully masks underlying earth tones. Its granular, sand-dusted face is enlivened by shallow pitting, fine kiln creases, and naturally softened arrises, capturing the aged authenticity of salvaged limewash masonry without sacrificing clean horizontal coursing lines across the wall plane. This serene, weathered character makes Ashtex an exceptional match for modern farmhouse plans, coastal cottage architecture, and European transitional elevations, pairing naturally with dark bronze or black window frames, charcoal roof shingles, natural white oak or cedar timbers, and warm cut limestone accents.
Manufactured in Modular size for full-depth structural masonry construction, Ashtex exhibits notable design versatility across mortar specifications. Laying the brick with an Ivory or bright White joint blends seamlessly into the heavy mineral slurry, establishing an illuminated, cohesive field that accentuates structural brickwork like jack arches, soldier lintels, and clean rowlock sills. Conversely, selecting a standard Gray or warm Buff mortar introduces subtle perimeter shadows around each brick, gently framing every unit to showcase the weathered edge profile and grounding the facade with enduring, timeless curb appeal.
